We are very happy to announce that Casey and I are expecting a baby girl!
The midwife told us at our 16 week scan she was pretty sure it’d be a little lady, but we waited to hear it again at 20 weeks before making a big announcement. Most importantly, our little one is healthy and everything looked good during the scan.
I’ve already started teaching Casey how to braid hair (he did a fantastic job!), and I know he’ll be an amazing father to a tiny princess.
Lately my symptoms have been a severe sweet tooth and back pain while sleeping. The whole “turtle complex” of not being able to get up from a lying down position has also just started, and I’m worried I’m starting to waddle. I feel the baby kick and move all time — like little popcorn *pops* in my stomach.
She was sucking her thumb during the scan and trying to squirm away from us poking and prodding at her. There’s nothing more magical than seeing her move, especially after a month of feeling her moving all the time.
So yes, we’re halfway there — and I just can’t wait to meet our little girl!
Natalie and Casey, I am so excited! 😘😘😘
